Clear the Air Coalition Applauds County for Decision to Analyze Renewable Energy Options

​The Clear the Air Coalition released the following statement today:
 
“The San Diego County Board of Supervisors made a sound public policy decision today when it voted unanimously to conduct a thorough apples-to-apples analysis of all options to reach its renewable energy goals prior to selecting an option in 18 months – a recommendation our coalition asked the county to consider. Proceeding with a new energy procurement model is a major endeavor that could carry significant taxpayer risks. It is critical the County make this decision with a full understanding of the risks and benefits, and what it may mean for our region’s economy and communities.
