‘This financing plan is an important milestone and creates the framework needed to begin negotiations’
SAN DIEGO (May 18, 2015) - Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s Citizens' Stadium Advisory Group (CSAG) released its “Site Selection and Financing Plan for New Multi-Use Stadium in San Diego” today. It lays out a clear and workable path to a new multi-use stadium that is fair for everyone, including taxpayers.
CSAG concluded a new multi-use stadium in Mission Valley is the most viable option, and would cost approximately $1.1 billion, excluding land. To pay for the facility, CSAG outlines revenue streams that exceed $1.4 billion without increasing taxes. Download the full report.
