Kelly Murphy Lamkin
Kelly has more than two decades of experience in print, online and broadcast advertising. She manages multimedia communications, provides strategic support and oversees day-to-day operations for clients nationwide, including public utilities, political campaigns and nonprofits. Since 2005, she has primarily focused on water issues throughout California and in other states.
Early in her career, Kelly coordinated the successful re-election campaign for her father, former San Diego Mayor Dick Murphy, managing the campaign headquarters, volunteers and organizing community outreach efforts throughout the city. In 2016, Kelly was recognized by the San Diego Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards. In 2017, Kelly was accepted into the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural leadership program for women. She also is a member of the North San Diego Business Chamber. Kelly leads a team of account executives and designers who complete more than 300 annual communications projects nationally for clients including American Water, the largest U.S. publicly traded water and wastewater utility company. The work Kelly and her team have produced has been recognized for its creativity and efficacy by the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators. |
