SAN DIEGO - The Balboa Park Conservancy has merged with Balboa Park Central, the two sides announced today. The merged organization will operate under the name of The Balboa Park Conservancy. Conceptualized in early 2013, the two organizations worked together under an “Intent to Merge” agreement for the past year. The merger was finalized on July 1, 2014.

SAN DIEGO – Increasing the minimum wage would hurt numerous small businesses, according to a study released today by the San Diego County Taxpayers Association (SDCTA) and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. The study also found that a local proposal to raise the minimum wage would be an ineffective tool to reduce poverty, failing to reach many of the people who need the most help.

SAN DIEGO – Single-family home sales surged in San Diego County last month – a 32 percent increase over the previous month – and median prices continued to climb, according to new housing statistics from the Greater San Diego Association of REALTORS® (SDAR).
